  • Adoption Assistance – Money to help you care for your adopted child.
  • Adoption Payment – IV-E adoption money to assist in the cost of adopting a child or monthly assistance to help with the care of your adopted child.
  • Alimony – Money from your ex-husband or ex-wife.
  • Capital Gains is when you sell a capital asset (such as an investment or real estate) for a price greater than the price you purchased it for.
  • COVID-19 Stimulus Payment - This is the Economic Impact Payment authorized by the CARES Act. For eligible families, this payment is $1200 for individuals, $2400 for married couples, and $500 for each child.
  • Death Benefits – Payments from an insurance policy due to the death of a person.
  • Disability Income – Payments because you are unable to work due to a disability.
  • Energy Assistance – Benefits to help pay your energy costs.
  • Federal Pandemic Unemployment Comp (FPUC) - FPUC provides $600 per week to any individual eligible for any of the Unemployment Compensation programs. See ColoradoUI.gov for more information. This income type is listed under the “Unemployment Insurance Benefit” category.
  • Foster Care Payments – Money to help with the care of your foster children.
  • If you won a cash prize, choose Gambling/Lottery. If you won a non-cash prize, choose Prizes/Awards. Non-cash prizes are things such as property, vehicles, a vacation, stocks and securities, or gift certificates.
  • Interest/Dividends Payments – Interest earned on a bank account, stock, or other asset.
  • Lottery Winnings – Money from winning a lottery.
  • Military Allotment – Money (veteran benefits or combat pay only) from serving in the military.
  • Money from Another Person – Money a friend, relative or other person gives you (other than child support, maintenance or alimony).
  • CSE Child Support Enforcement – Payments from the CSE (Child Support Enforcement) for support of a child/children.
  • Other Income – If you have a type of income that is not included on the list.
  • Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Comp (PEUC) - PEUC provides for an additional 13 weeks of benefits beyond the standard maximum of 26 weeks for traditional (regular) unemployment benefits. See ColoradoUI.gov for more information. This income type is listed under the “Unemployment Insurance Benefit” category.

  • Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) - PUA provides unemployment benefits, up to 39 weeks, to those not ordinarily eligible for them (such as self-employed individuals). See ColoradoUI.gov for more information. This income type is listed under the “Unemployment Insurance Benefit” category.
  • Payments from an Annuity – An annuity is an investment similar to a life insurance policy that pays money each year (or on a regular basis) to the person with the annuity.
  • Payments Made on Your Behalf – Someone has made (or makes) payments on your behalf.
  • Pension or Retirement – Any type of pension or retirement payments other than Social Security or Railroad Retirement.
  • Railroad Retirement – Retirement payments from the Railroad Retirement Board.
  • Refugee Cash – Money received because you are a refugee.
  • Student Loan Forgiveness does not include Public Service Loan Forgiveness or certain education or healthcare loan forgiveness programs.
  • TANF/EA Payment – Temporary Assistance for Needy Families or Emergency Assistance payments.
  • Trust Fund – Money received from a Trust Fund.
  • Unemployment Insurance – Benefits received from the Department of Labor (DOL) by an unemployed individual.
  • Veteran Benefits – Money received because you are a veteran.
  • Worker's Compensation – Payments received because you were injured at your job.

For the income type you selected, if you don't remember the exact date the income started, give your best estimate.
  • If you don't see the answer on this list, please choose monthly.
  • If you choose monthly, please estimate the total amount you would get each month.
  • If the amount changes with each payment, please just estimate how much you get on average. For example, if someone receives more than one Social Security payment, click the "Yes" button. If they don't, click the "No" button.
